For this project, I created a custom pattern design for a fabric inlay on surfboard fins. It was a process that blended art, nature, and craftsmanship. I started by dipping real flowers in paint and pressing them onto paper to capture their organic shapes and textures in a spontaneous, tactile way. After scanning the prints, I refined and arranged them in Photoshop, transforming the artwork into a seamless, repeating pattern. The finished design was printed onto fabric and handed off to the owner of RM Surf, who skillfully used it to handcraft three custom longboard fins.
